Working for Birse K Rouse successfully completed the central reservation renewal scheme. We worked closely the client at tender stage which allowed us to suggest design changes that saved the client money and also lowered the environmental impact of the scheme.

K Rouse’s works included earthworks, removal of the existing drainage before replacement of 675mm dia pipework and associated catch pits, and reconstruction of the carriageway to subbase level.

These works had a strict six week programme that K Rouse were able to facilitate by careful planning and the implementation of a site traffic management policy. The policy allowed for the most efficient use of space, enabling the maximum number of gangs to work without restricting site movement.
