Case Studies
Working for clients such as Carillion, Vinci, Westfield, ISG, Tolent and Longcross we have a track record of delivering groundworks, external works and S278 works packages with an emphasis on value engineering without compromising quality, safety, budget or programme.
Our most recent projects have seen successful works for both national and local retailers ranging from new build stores for Tesco’s, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons, and foundation works for Westfield, to drainage alterations, junction improvements and minor works for local clients.
Retail and Commercial
K Rouse have a long track record in the education sector where our experience, professionalism, extensive resources and flexibility have allowed us to meet or exceed our clients expectations in delivering projects on programme.
We understand the considerations required when working in a live environment and our commitment to excellence pushes us to act proactively to both minimise disruption and maximise programme effectiveness.
K Rouse have successfully completed works for major contractors on new sites and as relocations on existing live school sites, as well as working on student accommodation complexes for the likes of Sheffield and Leeds Metropolitan Universities.
Education
Prisons
K Rouse have developed and maintained a close working relationship with Skanska JV Projects through our proven example of commitment, reliability and performance on such projects as the HMP Lowdham Grange and HMP Dovegate schemes.
These sites included construction works for additional house blocks, recreation yards, alterations to the surrounding prison walls and the creation of improved access and parking.
Defence
K Rouse have worked on several large scale groundworks contracts for the MoD where the broad range of our experience and depth of our resources allowed us to deliver complicated work packages across the full spectrum of disciplines with our usual efficiency and professionalism.
Catterick: Tankadrome
The Tankadrome scheme included earthworks with lime stabilisation and 30,000 m3 of cut and fill, drainage works with approximately 2,000m of foul and surface water pipework and manholes, and 640m3 of water attenuation tanks. External works consisted of 20,000m2 of car parking finished in block paving and tarmac, gabions, reno mattresses, and the installation of all services, street lighting, paths and footbridges.
Catterick: Gaza
The Gaza scheme involved the construction of offices, stores and a parade ground. The earthworks for this section included 33,000m3 of cut and fill with the proceeding works consisting of groundworks, approximately 5,800m of surface water and foul drainage including manholes and a 1,800m3 attenuation tank. The external package included both tarmac and concrete roadways.
Catterick: Megiddo
The Megiddo scheme consisted of four separate buildings including workshops, offices and stores. Our works involved earthworks including 31,000m3 of cut and fill, groundworks and floor slabs to the buildings, one of which was 4,500m2, retaining walls and heavy duty rocker slabs designed for offloading tanks. The drainage element of this scheme included approximately 1,750m of surface water and foul pipework including manholes and interceptors, the external works package involved 20,000m2 of block paving.
Catterick: DEAON
The Defence Estates Area Office North scheme included earthworks, groundworks, drainage and external works involved with the construction of the new defence estates offices.
