Working for Interserve the Ripon project was designed to alleviate the high flood risk to Ripon town centre.
K Rouse’s works involved the installation of 80m of box culvert, associated concrete structures, metalwork, gabion walls and mattresses to form flood protection and a fish pass weir.
The nature of the site required K Rouse to carry out works in a sequence that included live culvert operations and the reshaping of the river bed which involved the installation of temporary channels.
